Best Restaurants in Navarre Beach (Locals Guide 2024)

Navarre Beach is often referred to as a hidden gem along Florida’s Emerald Coast. Consequently, many of our guests at OZ Island Retreat are first time visitors to this charming Island Getaway. One of the questions I’m asked most often is “Are there any good restaurants in Navarre?” The answer is, “Absolutely, YES!” From Fresh Gulf Seafood enjoyed beachside to Creative Sushi served in a quaint little beach cottage, Navarre Restaurants have something for everyone. We’ve watched sleepy little Navarre’s Restaurant scene blossom through the years. Our family doesn’t need fancy, and we don’t much appreciate chain restaurants on vacation, but we do like a good dining experience. So, let’s dive in and discover some of the restaurants you’ll want to try in the Navarre Beach area.

The Slippery Mermaid Sushi Bar

Charming! Quaint! Cute! What other lovely adjectives can I think of to describe this delightful little beach house restaurant? The Slippery Mermaid Sushi Bar is a shining star in Navarre for sushi lovers. First, the sushi is beautifully presented. (After all we do eat with our eyes first, right?) Second, The Slippery Mermaid takes full advantage of the Santa Rosa Sound breezes and beautiful view of Navarre Beach with both indoor and outdoor dining. Their Florida Room is waiting for just you and your dining “al fresco” experience.

Scooter's Fish House

Scooter’s Fish House is casual, casual, casual. We like to call in, get Scooter’s food to go, and bring our shrimp sandwiches back to the house for al fresco dining on our deck at OZ Island Retreat.

Juana's Pagodas and Sailors' Grill

Juana's Pagodas & Sailors' Grill is Navarre's oldest family owned & operated restaurant & bar. Juana’s is an iconic beachside hangout with food, cocktails, beach volleyball and water sports rentals. You can’t miss Juana’s! It’s located at the base of the Navarre Beach Causeway and hugs the white sandy bay beach as you enter Navarre Beach. Seriously, it looks like a scene from Top Gun Maverick. And as a bonus you can’t beat the sunsets from Juana’s deck!

Cactus Flower Cafe of Navarre

Our single favorite menu item in Navarre is the Mango Shrimp Tacos from the Cactus Flower of Navarre. Tiny tacos loaded with jumbo gulf shrimp, guacamole and mango salsa topped with pico de gallo. Perfection! A close runner-up is the Mahi Tacos served with crunchy shredded cabbage and tangy lime cream sauce. The Cactus Flower daily prepares fresh California Style Mexican Cuisine. Some recent guest at the OZ Island Retreat loved our recommendation so much they ate there twice in four days!

Bella Luna Italian Bistro

Bella Luna Italian Bistro is a favorite with locals for authentic Italian dinning. Chef and owner Guglielmo Ianni has been serving the Emerald Coast for more than 28 years. You’ll find all of your Italian favorites on the menu from pasta to meatballs, to parmigiana. And you’re on the Gulf Coast so they’ve got your fresh gulf seafood covered as well. The location in a little strip mall hides this hidden gem. When you step inside, you’ll find a casual upscale dining experience in a cozy setting.

Andy D's Beachside Restaurant & Daiquiri Deck

Lively fun local restaurant serving pub food; Andy D’s sprawling deck and entertainment is a favorite with locals and guests alike for relaxing and hanging out with family and friends. It has a family environment with great outdoor music and is dog friendly. So, grab your family and friends and relax in the salt air. (And yes, indoor dining available as well.)
